What is the Wotpods 3D Builder?
It’s an online tool that lets anyone – no design skills required – build their own teardrop camper from scratch. You choose your base model (Podaroo, Q-Pod or Bosspod), pick your exterior finish, select your colours, and add the options you actually want instead of paying for a pre-packaged spec sheet. Once you’re happy with it, the builder spits out an instant quote, so there’s no back-and-forth waiting on a salesperson to get back to you.

Why we built it this way
Most caravan manufacturers give you two or three trim levels and call it customisation. We wanted people to actually see their pod before they commit to one, so we went further:
- Two finish options to start. Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) gives you a strong, lightweight matt finish inside and out. Fibreglass gives you a glossy exterior with a much wider colour range, using the RAL colour chart, while the interior lining stays ACP either way.
- Real configuration, not just colour swatches. Cabinetry, layout tweaks and add-ons are all part of the build, not an afterthought bolted on at checkout.
- An instant quote at the end. No “someone will be in touch.” You get pricing straight away based on exactly what you’ve built.
It does take 60–90 seconds to load the first time (it’s rendering a genuine 3D model, not a static image gallery), so don’t panic if it’s not instant – it’s worth the wait.
Which pod should you build?
We’ve got three ranges you can start from inside the builder:
- Q-Pod — from $32K, our lower-profile teardrop with a genuine queen-size bed, a 1.5m drawbar for easier towing, solar, lithium, and a smart TV.
- Bosspod — from $35K, the one about 80% of our customers land on. It’s our largest teardrop, with a 150Ah lithium battery, three 100W solar panels, and two 30L Engel drawer fridges.
Whichever one you start with, you can still adjust finish, colours, and options inside the 3D Builder to make it genuinely yours.
How to design your pod, step by step
- Head to the 3D Builder and choose ACP or Fibreglass as your starting finish.
- Pick your base model — Q-Pod, or Bosspod.
- Choose your exterior colour from the approved ACP range, or the RAL chart if you’ve gone fibreglass.
- Add cabinetry, fridge setup, solar, battery capacity and any extras you’re after.
- Drop any special requests into the notes section so our team can look them over.

Do I need any design experience to use it? Not at all. It’s built for anyone to pick up and use straight away — no CAD skills, no design background needed.
